Nostalgia

These two designs were made in Manchester, one of my many homes. Looking at this actually makes me want to go back just for one night, sit in my messy room, get high with my housemate and make art until silly o'clock in the morning, then walk down to Asda in my pyjamas not even looking in the mirror and looking like a right mess, singing on the street and laughing at everyone that walks past, not giving a shit about anything. Ah those were good times...

A few weeks and two countries later, I was sat on a train for six hours not knowing what to do, so I decided to edit some of my Manchester work with Photoshop and other programs. I got quite into it and made this as well as other stuff that isn't finished yet and I'll post it some other time.

Transition

A few weeks before I left Manchester, I made one of the best decisions of my life - I bought some black paper and some metallic pens. This picture is the result of trying them for the first time and also the start of a new addiction. When you use metallic pens the original will always look better than any copy, no matter how much you edit it, so it makes each design unique but at the same time you can do so much with it in terms of editing and experimenting.

I started the foundations of it in Manchester, then I added all the details in Italy and added the finishing touches in Switzerland. So for me this design also shows the connection between my three home countries and that it doesn't really matter where you live as long as you can get inspired somehow.

What is my life coming to

After randomly falling asleep at 7pm last night and waking up at 2am not knowing what to do with myself, I just decided to finally start this blog to get my artwork out into this world. I've been having this idea for a while and just had a dream of doing it for the second time this week so here we go. Another reason might be that I currently live in the countryside and there's fuck all to do, so I just start making some art when I wake up in the morning and carry on doing so until I go to sleep at night (unless I've had to much wine and I'm not capable anymore of creating something that doesn't look like someone's vomited metallic colours on a sheet of paper). So yeah, I'm very inspired and constantly feel like creating something. Life is pretty good.
